Material compatibility

(OP)
I am interested on knowing what could happen if I place a valve that has on its material composition A216 GR WCB cast steel on a A312 TP304 Stainless steel...is it convenient to do this?

Does it exist a table of compatibility of materiales?

Thank you in advance.

RE: Material compatibility

What could happen...well...Normally it is going to be better, but it may not necessary.I guess you want 304SST for Valve Body. 304SST body is better for corrosion resistance(but not for chlorides). And if your fluid is chloride solutions, you need change body and trim to 316 SST.

If you just want change the body, it is not convenient at all. you need sent it back to manufactory.
