Cement Grout pumping
Cement Grout pumping
(OP)
Hi All,
Is any data available to assist with grout pumping when you have a dry mix of ordinary Portland cement with ground granulated blast furnace slag (1:5)
both then mixed with water to make a 0.5:1 grout (water:solids)
Regards
John

RE: Cement Grout pumping
What is the application/use for the grout? Do you require any specific strength?
The particle size of the slag could be an additional variable.
The ASTM spec for grout for use in masonry is very good and the criteria is for slump (8"-11") for placement and some engineers place an upper limit on the strength depending on what grouted materials are.

The application is to fill a skip container which has some radioactive waste. All I need to do is pump the grout into the skip.
just that to size the pump, I could do with knowing a typical grout composition.
