Right-Mouse Button Function......

Hi guys,

Maybe someone can help me out???

I had a computer crash recently, and when I opened my AutoCad 2000 program and staqrted drawing, something was wrong when i tried editing.
Previous to the crash, I was able to (for example):
Lets say I drew a set of 'LINES', now I want to delete one of them. Normally I would 'left click' the line I want to delete with my mouse, then type 'E' 'Enter' and poof  gone.

But now....it doesn't do that...instead it recalls the function 'E' <erase> and then I have to re-choose the line(s) I want to erase. I hope this makes sense to those of you who understand what I'm trying to say.
I've tried going to the help menu...but I haven't been able to find anything..maybe I am missing something, or just looking for the wrong key-words.....

Thanks for advance for any help!!!

Diz

RE: Right-Mouse Button Function......

In AutoCAD 2002 go to Tools-->Options-->User Preferences then there a button that say "Right-Click Customization" and you can customize the right click.

RE: Right-Mouse Button Function......

You might be in a verb/noun selection mode. Try changing
the selection mode to noun/verb.

Go to Tools-->Options-->Selections and check the box
for Noun/Verb Selection.

Dear dizzy,

Just set the PICKFIRST system variable to 1.

RE: Right-Mouse Button Function......

if you type PICKFIRST into the command line and set the variable to 1 this should sort out your problem.

Once again, thank you very much.
The PICKFIRST is what I was looking.

I Appreciate quick responses from everyone.
