Hardware library error message

Hardware library error message

(OP)
We creating hardware library per the hardware available in the shop floor. Found some of the hardware’s are not recommended for new design as per standard document they are referring to different part numbers and document. I would like NX should pop up error message “This is not for new design refer xxx part number” whenever user try to add that hardware for new design. Is there any way to add error message.

RE: Hardware library error message

If you do not want a particular part used in new designs, do not add it to your hardware library. Keep the part on file so that older assemblies open and display correctly, but I don't see any reason to make an obsolete part easy to find and use by adding it to a hardware library.
