Highlight when hovering with mouse

(OP)
Hi,
I am having real difficulty getting used with the NX highlighting characteristics.
I have several parasolid bodies imported in my work part, and whenever I hover above any of those with my mouse, it highlights all body.
In SolidWorks, it only highlights faces, so its easier to work when zoomed in real close. In NX, my screen looks like a bad disco clip when I haven't activated any functions or features.
I am wondering if there's a setting that governs this?
Thank you.

RE: Highlight when hovering with mouse

Hi,

Go to Preferences Tab-->Selection and turn off Highlight Selection on Rollover.

RE: Highlight when hovering with mouse

before hovering . . .
press Shift G to make "face" the top selection priority
then if you want to go back and make the "body" the top selection priority
press Shift B

RE: Highlight when hovering with mouse

You can also change the selection priority mentioned by jerry1423 through the "selection priority dropdown" located on the selection toolbar.

You might also want to experiment with the various highlighting options found in Preferences -> selection.
