thread507-279859: Unknown Steel Bar Joist

We have an existing 1973 era building project with GWS C263 and C268 open web steel joists. We are wondering if anyone has access to a GWS C Series (1973 era) Catalog for joist load capacity for 32 and 45 foot spans for these joists? Thanks.

RE: GWS 1973 C263 and C268 open web steel joists

I don't know of a "C" series of GWS joists. I sent the entire GWS Western (W) 1973 series catalog to SlideRuleEra to include in his files.

Edit: Correction, I just looked at the second page of the catalog. There was an (E) series for eastern Canada and a (C) series for California. I don't have either of those documents.

BAretired: Thanks for checking. A colleague in our office (ICC member) has contacted ICC to see if they have a legacy ICBO report. Hopefully we can get something there.
