motion simulation question for NX 8.0

motion simulation question for NX 8.0

motion simulation question for NX 8.0

(OP)
Hi guys,

I was trying to simulate the motion of a button traveling through a channel which is on the inner surface of a hollow cylinder. My goal is to prove that the cylinder will rotate as the buttone being pushed down. And there is a spring between the lower base and button which pushes the button upward constantly. I applied a force on the button(the top base was created for the force). However, it doesn't work out the way I expected, though I did see the cylinder rotate and effect of spring. I suspect it's because I didn't set up the joints or constrains correct.

Below is the zip link:

Any constructive suggestions are welcome, Thank you!

RE: motion simulation question for NX 8.0

Hi,

From your files uploaded, I only can see the CAD. I cannot see the motion simulation setup. Can you re-upload the entire folder, send in 1 zipped file?

Regards,
Tuw
