How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

(OP)
Hello Guys,

I have been facing this problem for ages and i don't know how to deal with it.

I want to save my model containing features like pad, cutout, split etc etc in compact format but whenever i open the tree for part body it is always expanded.

I have no clue why it is like this. For complex parts, it is really annoying to scroll down and do modifications etc, i use centre graph but that is not the solution here.

Warm regards,
Akhtar Aziz

RE: How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

facing the same problem. well you can use a hot key to collapse all.

RE: How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

Expansion state is not saved the way we think it should be... to save the collapsed model, try this: open the model. change the visibility of one of the global default planes, say XY-plane from Hide to Show. (This toggles the saving state of the model...) now collapse/expand the GeoSets and bodies the way you want. Save your model! If you close your model and re-open it, it should now open in your saved state. Changing/expanding the tree doesn't toggle the save state of CATIA. That is why you need to actually change something--hide/show state is simple enough.

RE: How to avoid Expanded Tree Structure

In your "Tools/Options/Display/Tree Manipulation" is the "Automatic expand activation" toggled on?
