Axisymmetric element and non symmetric loading

(OP)
Dear All ,

I want to a make an axi symmetric model. ( No not an tyre) (I want to model thw dust cover that we have on suspensions)

FOr this I am thinking of using axisymmetric elements such as CGAX4R. Now I will have unaxial loading later.

So I would like to have your advice if I should go ahead with axi symmetric elements and later can load them from any position and how?

or shall i prepare C3D8 element model with three row of elements in the thickness direction.

Thank you very much in advance for your help...!!

regards
Kammieorama
