Hello,
Does anyone have any reference of the steel grade equivalency (ASTM A572 vs Q345-b)? Any document would be greatly helpful especially if there is anything from AISC. I looked up the AISC website but couldn't find any.
Thank you very much in advance.

RE: ASTM A572 (US Steel) vs Q345-b (Chinese Steel)

Q345 has an Fu of 68 ksi and a Fy of 50. The Chinese use this steel. You should get the specs and check the chemistry and other issues. Google is actually a good source. Make sure you get Mill certificates but still be very careful. I like to have samples tested here in the States as you could receive a surprise.
