NX9 ASSEMBLY NAVIGATOR

When you save your ROLES, it works for the ribbons and icons and such, but not the Assembly Navigator. Personally, I do a few different types of jobs on NX9 and on each it would be nice to have the navigator set up with different columns. When I switch up from Detailing and work on creating Family Parts for instance, it would be great if I could make a quick switch to my Part Family Navigator that would show all of the columns for the attributes I need to see. Then when I return to Detailing, flip to different Navigator Columns without having to go in and adjust them all each time.

Is there any way of saving different setups for the Assembly Navigator?

RE: NX9 ASSEMBLY NAVIGATOR

The settings and options for such things as what columns are enabled in the Assembly Navigator or whether to show Groups and Sections, these settings are saved in the Windows registry.

However, starting with NX 10.0, while the above mentions settings are still being saved in the Windows registry, there are some settings and options that are now saved in the Roles, including which Resource Bar tabs are enabled or not (a feature added to NX 10.0) as well as how far each navigator/tab is extended when open. The settings which control the content and options INSIDE each navigator/tab, those are still saved in the registry, but at least some overall Resource Bar setting are now being managed by the Roles mechanism.
