Rolling Sheet Alum

(OP)
Task is to produce a large cylindrical 'can' from 7075-T735. Parameters: finite OD with TBD sheet thickness. Looking to maximize stiffness per fixed OD.

Question to any TinKnockers present:
Might there be a Rule-of-Thumb formula (or table) to determine maximum Sheet Thickness-to-Outside Diameter ??

Or perhaps, Thickest possible material to roll "X" Diameter ??

TIA & any contributions will be greatly appreciated.
