Attributes in PMI note

Attributes in PMI note

I have an assembly with several exploded views and several assembly arrangements. I want to create a note in PMI to display the name of the current assembly arrangement and the name of the current exploded view. Where do I find those names as variables so that I can put them in PMI?

RE: Attributes in PMI note

Without writing some sort of utility using NX Open or Knowledge Fusion, I know of no where that you can find that sort of data in a form where you could link it to a PMI or Drafting note.

I can get the information by clicking Menu > Information > Assemblies > Explosion and picking on of the explosions. The information window has what I want in it. Are the circled items generated from system variables that are accessible?

The info window has a line:

Explosion name Part1

At the bottom is a line:

This explosion is based upon assembly arrangement Part1 Assm.

Attached is a screen shot of the info window.

RE: Attributes in PMI note

Yes, I know that the data you're looking for can be seen in a listing window, but there is no automated way, unless you develop a custom application as I mentioned above, to extract and then link those values to either an attribute or a Drafting/PMI note.
