For a long time has been solidworks policy to charge a fee of 500 euro for a return to maintenance. Now my Var told me that from the new year the policy will change and to return to maintenance we shall pay all the month all months unmaintained.
Does anybody heard about this new policy?

RE: Subscription renewal

I haven't heard of that and I'm not sure that it would make sense for SolidWorks to do that, either, outside of a purely financial reason. The number of people it could turn away would probably be a bad thing, especially with companies like Onshape and AutoDesk360 who charge low monthly fees. Actually, Onshape is free for those companies that want to be super cheap.

Then this newness exists only for me? And 'maybe the seller is encouraging me to update in a way not so clean?

RE: Subscription renewal

Is there another reseller in your area? If so, call them. Once you've been off subscription, you can easily switch to another seller.

That is an option, but I just would like to know if there is any change in policy by Solid Works.

RE: Subscription renewal

Go ask the same question over at forum.solidworks.com. Plenty of resellers and SolidWorks employees who can answer the question for sure.

The new Subscription late policy rewards our best customers

Ummm ... exactly how does this equate to a reward? Are the 'best customers' being offered reduced rates or some other special consideration?

Dear Jeff, thanks for the two links it is exactly the confirmation I was looking for.
