Abaqus - XY Data extraction for combined shell + solid elements

Abaqus - XY Data extraction for combined shell + solid elements

(OP)
Hello all,

I saw a thread regarding this problem in the following link:
http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=369253
My situation is a bit different, I created two instances, one made by shells (for visualization purposes) and another made by solids (real model) and ran the model without any problems. When I try to extract the data (undeformed shape) I get the following error 'no results could be found for XY data extraction from the path'. It feels like Abaqus tries to extract the data from the shell instance (where the points I needed don't exist) while I want it to look at the solids, that's just my hypothesis. Any tips? I would really appreciate some help.

Regards
