Strand7 Cosine load distribution (bolt hole)

Strand7 Cosine load distribution (bolt hole)

(OP)
Hi,

Just trying to figure out how to apply the cosine load distribution to a bolt hole in strand7. I'm try to validate bearing stress in a tension joint and need to tick this method off the list.
The formula would be -4Pcos(theta)/(Pi x D). I just don't know my way around Strand7 well enough to implement this.

Thanks for any feedback

RE: Strand7 Cosine load distribution (bolt hole)

Have a look at the "projected" attribute under Plate-Face Load- Global Pressure. The help describes what it does.

If that isn't suitable you can enter a formula for the pressure based on the coordinates, but that would be more complicated to set up.
