(OP)
Im interested in any research on corrosion rates of concrete pipes subject to weak acid attack and how this will reduce the pipe life.
Also the affects on the weak concrete used in the poured concrete base of insitu poured manhole bases.

I have one project where pipe was 2/3 full of organically stained water that was poorly (slowly) drained. It stayed this way for over 10 years. The acid was primarily from tannins resulting from decaying vegetation. The loss on the inside of the pipe is currently about 1/4" (6+ mm). The area not in contact with water has not lost any appreciable paste at the surface.

If you research hydrogen sulfide corrosion on sewers, you will find a wealth of information. The hydrogen sulfide results in an sulfuric acid attack on the concrete.
