Link note triangle

Link note triangle

Link note triangle

(OP)
I came across a drawing created by someone not here anymore.
The note triangle in a view is linked to a note triangle in a drawing note triangle.
Changing the triangle number in the view will change the number in the drawing note within the triangle.
How do I create this, and how do I edit it?
I have looked over every link to property option, no go.
Thanks.

RE: Link note triangle

Man, I've done this before but can't remember how I did it...where's Lorono when you need him?

RE: Link note triangle

Ah! Finally got it.

Select text within note, select "Link to Property".
In Link to Property window, select "Component to which the annotation is attached", OK.
Then select the triangle (or note/dim/etc) in the view.
They are linked. The edit works one way. Change the item in the view will change in the note, not the other way.
I will turn in a suggestion to SW for this.
