Flushing lines

Flushing lines

Flushing lines

(OP)
Hi,

Before transfer of a truckshop from construction to operation, oil lines will have to be flushed to remove large debris.
I received a flushing procedures from the oil system's supplier. But one thing that is not clear ; there are 5 different oil system, all of them I will use the same neutral oil to flush. Once I have flush one of the system with the neutral oil, can I re-use this oil to flush another system ? Or do I have to re-use a new batch of oil everytime.

Thank you,

RE: Flushing lines

That is question for the oil systems supplier. We may or may not give you the correct advice.

RE: Flushing lines

Normally, flushing is done with strainers in the piping. If you reuse the oil, you should filter it between reuse.

There should be no problem reusing the oil unless there are slack points in the piping where the oil may collect. I doubt that this is your situation.

You will probably need to purge the first flush when you begin using the five different oils anyway.
