Hello everyone,

I need some clarifications in Etabs modelling. How do i apply lateral loads (EQ) in etabs manually? What's the difference between lump lateral mass at storey level and include lateral mass only of mass source in DEFINE? Which option i should check when i enter the EQ loads manually. I m pretty much done with modelling except the application of lateral loads. I indeed applied the lateral loads as user options in static load case (applied @ COM). When i analysed the structure shows the vertical loads and also the user defined horizontal lateral loads @COM. The EQ lateral load application is kind of tricky in etabs. Kindly, help me out in solving this issue.

Your manual application of EQ load, is OK.
