Looking for the perfect valve

Looking for the perfect valve

Looking for the perfect valve

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I'm actually working on a Well Head Control Panel and i have trouble finding a stainless steel valve NC controlled by both a solenoid and a button (with a spring return and self locking open if solenoid on) with :

Condition for opening : Solenoid on AND Button pulled
Condition for closing : Solenoid off OR Button back to normal

I've found some interesting VERSA valves (http://www.versa-valves.com/sites/default/files/ca...), but unfortunatly they don't comply to the opening condition, if you pull hard on the button, the valve does open..

On of the solutions would be to seperate the solenoid and put it downstream, but as a matter of space for the designer, this is impossible.

If any of you have some piece of advice, i'll take it with great pleasure.

Have a nice day

RE: Looking for the perfect valve

What you describe is the control logic to operate a solenoid valve, not the valve itself.

I don't know what you mean by a 'button' or what 'back-to-normal' is, but the simple control logic below with a SPDT switch satisfies shows the two operating states, valve open and valve closed a NC solenoid valve.

Show it to one of your electrical guys and ask him about a 'button' with 'back to-normal' operation.
