CORRUPT FILE

CORRUPT FILE

CORRUPT FILE

(OP)
ok so I went to open a file the other day and I get an error message (modeler error: archived attribute defns do not match current.) any way I can get this worked out. I really would not like to have to redo a weeks work..

Any help is greatly appreciated... im running nx 9.0.3.4 file size is 768MB

I get the same result form trying to import the part file...

RE: CORRUPT FILE

Try doing a Part Cleanup. If that doesn't help, contact GTAC as they should be able to help you with this.

How do I do a Part Cleanup on a file I cant open????

RE: CORRUPT FILE

There is a utility, ug_inspect, I think, that has a part cleanup option.

Or
File -> Utilities -> Part Clean-up

made some headway with ug_inspect. will it extract operations or just parasolid data?
of coarse when running the various checks and the scan options I cant find anything corrupt....

RE: CORRUPT FILE

Call GTAC.

If you cannot open the file, it's not much that you can do yourself.

The size 768 Mb is very large, is it a drawing ?
If it's a model, it' either very-very complex or there is something wrong.

this is a model with tool path.. yes it is very large most of our files are this size and larger...
currently off maintenance so gtac is not an option.... so I'm on my own with this one.. thanks to everyone who has helped.. maybe I can get it worked out before I have spent another week redoing it...

RE: CORRUPT FILE

Have you tried to open the file as Structure Only, no models?

RE: CORRUPT FILE

Structure only gets me the same error... worth a try.. thanks to everyone that has offered input.. I finally broke down and began reprogramming the entire file... turns out nx was doing something stupid from much earlier on... tool path was coming out wrong with drilled holes in wrong location... corrupt file was just the final straw that really brought it all to a close for that file....
