Geostatic step on a half 3-d model- Boundary conditions

Geostatic step on a half 3-d model- Boundary conditions

Geostatic step on a half 3-d model- Boundary conditions

(OP)
Taking advantages of symmetry of loading acting on a circular foundation and soil, I have reduced to my model to half cylindrical (semicylindrical) model. Thus foundation and soil are both semi cylindrical. However, I do not get a successful geostatic step which I was getting in my complete 3-d model. The soil bottom is fixed and the sides (curved circumference of semi cylinder and plane diametrical vertical plane) are roller U1=U2=0. U1 and U2 are in x and y direction (two hor directions) and Z is vertical direction. The soil is undrained cohesive. I have checked my parameters and they are correct. I only doubt my boundary conditions. Should I have a boundary condition for vertical exposed side of foundation also? Can anybody guide?
