Pin-hole contact surface

(OP)
Hi all, I have a Single Edge Notch sample, with 2 holes which are not on the symmetry axis. The sample will be tested in tension and due to the asymmetry, both tension load and bending will be present in order to increase the stresses at the notch. When I used Patran (and the gap elements to model the surface contact between the pin and the hole) I reached the wanted Kt factor but I'm able to do that anymore with ABAQUS.
The lower pin is fixed, the upper pin can move only along the vertical axis. The contact between the pin and the surface hole has a tangential behavior friction less and a normal contact set to "hard". Is there something wrong in this modelling of the contact surfaces? Do you have any hints?
I'm available for any information you need.

Thanks a lot,
Stefano
