Wet Bulb calculation See thread403-273503

(OP)
Hi there,

I am in desperate need of Wet Bulb temperatures for Delhi however, there are no records that I know of available. I came across this thread thread403-273503: Turning wet and dry bulb temperatures to Humidity and dew point, which outlined an excel function to calcualte the wet bulb from dry bulb, dew point, etc. However, I have no idea how reliable such a method is.

Is there any function that is reliably used to calculate Wb in excel?

Or any data sources of primary wet bulb temperatures that I have no come across?

Best

How about you use a psychrometric chart?

Do you have something to base the wet bulb calculation on, i.e., the humidity? What data do you actually have?

I have Dry Bulb temps, relative humidity, dew point temperature, altitude, and pressure.

Cannot use a psychrometric chart as I have hourly values for the whole year which I need to convert, which I am then using to calculate Wet Bulb Cooling Degree Days.

I have used an excel add in already but I have no idea how accurate it is.

OK, so you can use the spreadsheets mentioned above and use the Solver to back out the wet bulb that achieves the desired humidity

The spreadsheets mentioned above are reliable.
