Abaqus 6.12, Measuring energy loss by Rayleigh damping

(OP)
Hello together,

I am currently working on an Abaqus model in which I modelled a pile being rammed into the ground. This pile is modelled withRayleigh damping. My question is how can I measure the energy loss due to Rayleigh damping? Is there a specific output I can use? So far I only found that viscous dissipation energy gives the losses by damping (http://orange.engr.ucdavis.edu:2080/v6.11/books/gs...). Is that correct? Because if I use this output I get that only 600J out of an input energy of 600kJ is dissipated... I hope somebody can help me

Kind regards,

skywalker
