Strand7 Edge restraints

Strand7 Edge restraints

Strand7 Edge restraints

(OP)
Hi all,

I am fairly new to Strand7 and I am completing a project. I need to apply fixed edge restraints to a circular hole rather than applying nodal restraints? Is this possible?
I am sure it's in the help menu somewhere but my limited knowledge of FEA terminology is making this a difficult process.

thanks for your assistance

RE: Strand7 Edge restraints

The strains in FEA plate elements are defined by the deflections of the nodes, so if you restrain all the nodes along any edge, you have restrained the edge.

Possibly you want to have some releases with axial symmetry, in which case could you give us more details.
