About rebars in RCC

About rebars in RCC

(OP)
The normal practice here while putting up lintel beams is to chip off the concrete in the columns till the rebars are exposed and hook the lintel rebars in the column rebars. Doesnt it effect the load bearing capacity/ strength of the columns??
Can rebars taken out from RCC be reused safely??
Is electric welding of lap splices of rebars good practice??
Is it necessary to bend all the rebars in a beam at the end of the beam??

RE: About rebars in RCC

Where is here? I would say its not a good practice.

I see no reason rebar cannot be reused, as long as its concrete free, and never bent.

Welding of rebar can be done if proper type rebar

Bending of the rebars in a beam depends on many things. Not always required.
