Looking for a specific wire-feed process (high heat input with small equipment)

(OP)
I took a course a while ago and the instructor mentioned a wire-feed process that was suitable for high input with relatively small equipment. The wire core had a composition that allowed for this (metalcore? powder metal?) I can't quite recall the name. As far as I can tell it's not FCAW-S, but maybe it is. It also may have been some sort of dual-shield stuff. Any thoughts?

On a side note, is all FCAW classified as FCAW-G or FCAW-S, or are all three different process?

thanks.
