Cathodic Prtection of Reinforced Concrete Suspended Floor Slab
Cathodic Prtection of Reinforced Concrete Suspended Floor Slab
(OP)
Has anyone had any experience with cathodic protection (CP) of chloride contaminated reinforced concrete suspended floor slab using anode mesh? I did an old loading dock that way about 20 years ago, and it seemed to be working fine, but after a number of years we lost contact with it so I do not know how it is doing now, although I do know the CP system is still running and being maintained by the original CP specialist contractor. I know spray applied CP systems have been problematic and I would not use them, but anode mesh systems, although more expensive, seemed to work. I would be interested in hearing your views, especially from people who have had actual experience with how they performed over a number of years.

When I am working on a problem, I never think about beauty but when I have finished, if the solution is not beautiful, I know it is wrong.

And they are headquartered in the Great White North too.

Yes, several.
I think Dave Whitmore (President now, I think) in Canada is NACE certified, and Chris Ball (Florida) and Tore Arnesen (Colorado) are too.
