CURTAILING OF REINFORCEMENT

CURTAILING OF REINFORCEMENT

CURTAILING OF REINFORCEMENT

(OP)
Hi Eng-Tips

I am looking at the simplified method for the curtailment of reinforcement BS8110 figure 3.24
Using these simplifications does one have to add a development length of 40-50xdiameter
or is it already included in the simplification

Please advise

Yours sincerely,

Peakpilgrim

RE: CURTAILING OF REINFORCEMENT

The development lengths are included.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
