Can somebody please give me the steps how to calculate reduced strength od a simply suppoet beam due o drulling a hole in botrom flange

Thank you is this section on the AISC 9th Edition too?
Is anywhere in AISC 9th Edition stating about holes in flange of beam for bolt and whats negligable and whats not?

Basically, it just comes down to this: if the net section works at the steel rupture strength (Fu), you're good.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
