Dedicated "light" assembly for rendering purposes - good idea?

Dedicated "light" assembly for rendering purposes - good idea?

(OP)
I am considering to build a dedicated "light" assembly for rendering purposes. The assembly in question is quite heavy and contains a lot of geometry that will not be visible from the outside. I think it would be a good idea to make a seperate assembly and delete all of the geometry that won't be visible. This may also include internal geometry inside parts.

Would this indeed speed up the rendering process or will simply hiding this geometry have the same effect? In other words, does NX also process hidden geometry during the rendering process?

Any other tips and tricks that could help the rendering process are welcome!

RE: Dedicated "light" assembly for rendering purposes - good idea?

You can Make an arrangement inside your assembly with all of the stuff you do not want to render suppressed.

Thanks for your answer...so you think hiding components will help saving memory?
