embedment design of RHS into the RC wall

(OP)
Hello,

I have a stub 120x60x8 RHS embedded into 200 mm thk RC wall, RHS is projecting about 200 mm from the face of the wall and embedment depth of 150 mm to the RC wall. Is there any calculation (Eurocode) that will prove that the embedment depth of 150 mm is sufficient enough, C40/50(for wall). Any ideas will be appreciated?

Regards,

I am interested in this too. Even a British Standard or American code would be useful to help understand this.

Have you considered a design like a Cazaly hanger we use for Precast concrete? Adding the tensile element will make the design easier.
