Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

(OP)
I'd like to run a static structural parametric study in ANSYS workbench where I vary a dimension. For each case I would like to export all the nodal results in csv format, so I can interrogate the results outside ANSYS. I know how to do this by running each case separately, using the right click--> export in results, but this is cumbersome when I have 50 cases to run.

Does anyone know the best way to do this?

RE: Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

Hi n8th8n,

sorry for the invasion, but i have a similar doubt as this post. How can i peak one only element for example and analyse its results? strain vs time only for one element or a set of elements filtered.

Can you help? Thanks.

Appreciated,
Sérgio.

RE: Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

SergioLCosta, are you using StaticStructural Results Software? You can create a PROBE based on its location (using the coordinated system). It will not show you the value for a specific element, but for a specific point, I believe it solve.

Right click at Solution / Insert / Probe.

n8th8n, there's book which relates Ansys and Matlab. You can use Matlab language to import values at specific nodes, eigenvalues, eigenvectors.... Ahn, maybe there's an easy way, but this is what I've already seen someone using.

RE: Parametric Study - Export Nodal Results

Maybe the coordinated system is a good idea although i´m interesting on the user defined results tool. (i´m using explicit dynamics for this case now but it´s common).

But there is any way, a tool, to at least identify directly one element to choose? For instance, along 16344 elements, i want to identify the element xxxx.

Thank you.
