Assembly question

Assembly question

Assembly question

(OP)
Is it possible to change the way the default assembly mode works

When I open a a component from an assembly and do some work, then go back to the assembly, the component is the work part. If the assembly is large sometimes it takes a few minutes for the part to pop back to the assembly and then I have to right away double click top level to get the assembly active again

Is there a way to, when you go back to the main assembly, have the top level become active by default

Thanks

Yes.
Preferences -> assemblies -> work part -> uncheck the "maintain" option. If this option is on, NX will try to make the displayed part the work part when switching back to the assembly. When it is turned off, the assembly will be the work part when switching back.
