Hello,

I am using Ansys for mechanical analysis. When I read in an RST file and use SET command, I can get stresses along a path. But when I assign the results to an load case ID using LCDEF, I get 0 stresses along the path. Any idea what I am missing?

Make sure you read the load case by issuing the LCASE,# in /POST1 (where # is the number that you assigned using the LCDEF command).

So it seems when SUMTYPE,PRIN is used, you can't get path stresses or section stresses from load cases.
