Hide a view in drafting

Hide a view in drafting

Hide a view in drafting

In UG 8.5 is it possible to hide a view in drafting?
We have some proprietary info we like to hide when exporting to dwg for the customer.
Is this possible?
Thank you.

Brad

RE: Hide a view in drafting

How about turning on the Reference setting in the Style settings for that view? That worked for me when I generated a .dwg and opened it in CADAM. It was a detail view, and I could still see the boundary, view label, etc., but there was no content in the view.

If that doesn't work, I suppose you could create an extra sheet that won't go to the customer and move the view there.

You can control the view scale by expression, and then make it very tiny so it appears invisible

Thanks for the answers.
Things to consider.

RE: Hide a view in drafting

Change the view boundary, so it only shows blank space.

RE: Hide a view in drafting

There is that odd function "Reference View" ( RMB on the view - Style ... - General tab - Reference)
Which will display the view as a view with a crossed out circle in the center.
I don't know if it will be exported or not.

Tomas
