Defining origin point for parametric equations

Defining origin point for parametric equations

Defining origin point for parametric equations

(OP)
When I am creating an equation driven curve using parametric equations, I would like to specify the zero point. Is there a way in SW that allows that to be done? Going along with this, is there a way to specify the sketch coordinate system so that the zero point is where I want it?

RE: Defining origin point for parametric equations

chuckm1974,

If you are using ordinate style dimensioning, you specify a zero point. Is your equation generating something other than ordinate dimensions?

You do need to ensure your zero point always is off to one side of your curve.
