Sir Maam,

I using a SOLID WORKS 2014having problem with trim and exend feature in solid works. iam making a mast with cross
but when i sure the trim eand extend , the reuslt is not the way i want, i still dint conseder ma main post as part of the trimming bodies. i encounter this many namy times . and the my work harder and slower. can i please elp me this one??

It worked fine for me. Simply select the bodies to be trimmed, then use face/plane and the bottom face of the upper chord.

You need to trim to the face, not the bodies... It is "fish mouthing" the joints.
There is a check box for trimming to face or body.
