CEL example model with strange behaviour
CEL example model with strange behaviour
(OP)
Greetings!
I have created an example model of a simple valve using the CEL method. The only load in the model is a gravity load. The model behaves in a strange way and I get very high velocities after a very short duration.
The model is attached (6.14).
The results can be seen here: Link
I would appreciate if anyone could comment on why you think the flow looks so unrealistic. I would assume that all fluid would pour out at the bottom an that the plug would fall down and close the flow path. Right now it shoot upward against the gravity direction.
Thanks in advance!

RE: CEL example model with strange behaviour
The problem was the 90 degree corners of the model.
In the initial step, the fluid "cuts" the corner of the plug. By removing elements filled with water of the eulerian part, around the edges of the plug and funnel, the model seems to be working (looks better and moves realistically).
I will rerun and see if this did the trick.
IceBreakerSours: What do you say is wrong with the post processing? I checked the video and I have made the iso surfaces like shown (somewhat automatic in 6.14). Any pointers would be appreciated. :)

I checked the video and except from cosmetic post processing, I've done the same thing.
Monday, Monday, Monday.
