I am trying to offset a curve down a x and y axis so far the only tools I am using will only let me offset in one direction If anyone can help this would be appreciated.

Thank you Daniel Lamb please see picture attached.

RE: offset curve

Are you talking about 'offsetting' or 'transforming'?

RE: offset curve

Please provide some sort of picture of what you think you're going to get if you were able to 'offset' the way you wish to? Generally speaking, an offset only goes it one direct, normal to the curve being offset. The is not idea of multiple directions.

I would like this result

RE: offset curve

Can you split out that corner such that you don't reveal anything of that model and upload ?

Offset should do what you expect.

RE: offset curve

Could you extract the surfaces, then do on offset surfaces? You may need to extend these surfaces together for what you are wanting.

RE: offset curve

What is the end goal? are these runoff or addendum surfaces for a stamping tool or mold shutoff?

if so, i'd just use a bridge curve and use fill surface.

RE: offset curve

I agree.....bridge curve and fill surface gets what you want, quickest.

To the Toolmaker, your nice little cartoon drawing of your glass looks cool, but your solid model sucks. Do you want me to fix it, or are you going to take all week to get it back to me so I can get some work done?

RE: offset curve

Hi guys, I was just going thru this with my fellow designers at work for making transitions better. Where or what is fill surface? I was using bridge surface, or thru curves. Is there something better?

Thanks.
