Changing x,y,z axis

Changing x,y,z axis

Changing x,y,z axis

(OP)
Hello,

I'm doing in Abaqus a Kelvin cell. My problem is that to have the results of stresses S11 and S22 , it gives me the results in the global coordinate system of Abaqus (its x y z axis) . But I have created a new local x,y,z axis and I want to have S11 and S22 following these new axis and not the old one. Does anyone have an idea of what should I do?

Thank you in advance

RE: Changing x,y,z axis

Give assign-->material orientation-->datum coordinates a try.

RE: Changing x,y,z axis

In the assembly module, you can use the option of ROTATE or TRANSLATE. By doing this, you change the local coordinates direction. I used this option to make + Z axis to - Z axis. Important to remember here is in the PART module, these directions do not change and only in ASSEMBLY module, the changes occur.
