Corrosion of gasses in SST and Inconel tubing

Corrosion of gasses in SST and Inconel tubing

(OP)
We have extensive use of 304L, 316L, and Inconel 718 tubing in our pressure equipment.  The tubing of much of this equipment is filled with silicone-based oil.  At other times the fluid is a gas, normally air.

One of our customers is using carbon dioxide as a pressure medium, and I would like to evaluate if this could facilitate corrosion.  The gas could be present under pressure for durations up to a year and longer.

What is a good source for showing how resistant these metals are to corrosion from various gasses, particularly carbon dioxide?

Thanks,

Tim
