RE: WELDING OF API 5L X70 40" PIPE

Hello everybody:

As a preliminar choice, you can consider the use of these electrodes:

SMAW: E7018, AWS 5.1, ASME SFA 5.1.
GMAW: E71T-1, AWS 5.20, ASME SFA 5.20.
GTAW: ER70S-6, AWS 5.18, ASME SFA 5.18.

El que no puede andar, se sienta.

What pressure, temperature, fluid, service, and grade of pipe?

What code and what country is the pipe?

Does your company have a quilified weld procedure or qualified welder and NDE?
