Generating maximum machining depth in the NC code

(OP)
Hi all,

I need a little help. I need to generate NC code with tools maximum cutting depth of the operation. In the post I created a feature that I at the end of the operation lists the maximum depth to which the tool will go and now I need a function that should me moved to the beginning of operations for the utility.

Thank you for any help

RE: Generating maximum machining depth in the NC code

I think the most common way to do this is to finish the posprocessing, then open the file, edit it, and close it using tcl.

I am sure you could get help on this in the Siemens NX Manufacturing forum - a lot of post and tcl experts hang out there.
