O-ring 'ejection' ideas

O-ring 'ejection' ideas

(OP)
Hi,

My first post here. Hope its in the right category.
I'm working on an small project and one thing I'm in trouble with is how the 'ejection' mechanism of the o-ring can be made. (see the figure)

When the tip is at an angle the forces in the o rings are very different from that when positioned on a 'straight cut (90deg)' cylinder.
Any ideas of how that might be done? All inputs are welcome :)

Regards
Alex

RE: O-ring 'ejection' ideas

For starters, applying the force to the "top" of the angle cut like you've shown with the arrow, will tighten the o-ring. Applying the force to the "bottom" will loosen up the o-ring, but it might walk over the one in front of it.
