Maximum Reinforcing Spacing Maximum Reinforcing Spacing JedClampett (Structural) (OP) 5 Jun 15 21:53 I think the TEDDS Reinforced Beam Module is mis-applying the maximum spacing requirement. See attached. How can a minimum be the result of the formula. http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=409ba42e-a4b0-4547-9163-68 RE: Maximum Reinforcing Spacing DenBel (Structural) 9 Nov 15 13:08 Have you checked the concrete strength? It looks like you used 40,000 psi concrete, which is probably not correct input. If you change it to 4000 psi, the spacing will be fixed it right away. This is why I like Tedds. I can look thru the calcs and see where it starts looking wrong.... RE: Maximum Reinforcing Spacing JedClampett (Structural) (OP) 9 Nov 15 21:44 That's 2/3 of the reinforcing yield strength (2/3 x 60,000).
