Dynamic Analysis Intro
Dynamic Analysis Intro
(OP)
Hi everyone:
I am new to dynamic analysis and would like to get the general idea of what should be done while doing a dynamic analysis.
My resources are COSMO/Works(wich gives me static analysis and modal analysis), and a pencil and calculator.
The problems im involed in are mainly for space applications, so usually products spec define that component should have a certain natural frequency or
should withstand loads of X*G .
The problem comes down to how to determine if my component will not fail if the specified G load is aplied. What should i look for to see if the component or assembly will withstand the loads. Can the dynamic load be considered as a shock load? Can i relly in static analysis to determine if component will withstand load? Should the component be modeled as a spring mass system in order to determine deflections?
Anther questions is what does simply suported mean?
Thanks for your help

You can then compare your analytical predictions to the test levels.
