Hello,
I am working on BNR WW plant. This plant is old, built in 88. It has duel media sand gravity filter to treat TSS 10 to 0.15 mg/l. I am looking for vendor or design build company who can offer the engineered technology in this area. Please share your information.
Thank you for your time.

We replaced media last year. But still we have media migration issues with in filter and loosing media. Engineering firm involved during the study prior to work in 2012 and they recommended replacement of media. We did replace the medial but there is still issues. During the replace they found the media was not reusable thus they have to do disposal. in general they medial can be reuse after washing, that's what medial supplier told us. That's how medial beaten up.
I just took on this project. I realize there are other concerns which lead to cause of problems. for example hydraulic, size of medial and backwash system. I would like to involve qualified vendor.
Thanks again,

It is dual media travelling bridge filter by US filter. Capacity 1.8MGD. Top layer 8" Anthracite coal 1.0-1.1 effective size and bottom layer 8" fine sand effective 0.55-0.65mm.
I am in Alberta. I could not find anyone who have been running this type of filter for long time. This filter install in 2001.

Not sure if this is the filter, but would expect that the firm would service the legacy brands. Have you contacted Evoqua?
RE: WW filteration

Any suggestion on any new WWTP filtration technology coming in market.
